your local pub shuts without notice...

you have sold your 996 (knowing things would get tighter), sold your trackday car and not replaced a leased (company car)....

I am sure the downturn is only in it's early stages but I know my life has changed!

Me too. My screen name is now only nostalgia I'm afraid.

I sold the day to day banger and I am driving the family Scenic. Rubbish isn't it. I've never been without "my car" since I passed my test 25 years ago. Is it too melodramatic to say that I have lost part of my identity?

Just had my first child, and my wife isn't going back to work - so we're down on cash a bit.. but (luckily?) we're in a cheap house with cheap cars so this credit crunch really hasn't affected us.. Sorry to hear about you guys.

I own nothing, my job is not skilled and I could do any job in the same kind of field, so as you say its not really bothered me too much.

Although its made me more aware of how much money I waste on various debts, and also day to day living, so if anything its shocked me into being more on the ball with my cash smile

Totally unrelated, but what made you switch from a VX220 to a 350z? I think I've just decided to go for a VX instead of a Z, what're your views?

Mark Hughes has been told Manchester City have only got £345,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 to spend on new players next January....biggrin

Got rid of my second car and replaced it with a bike, using all the money I'm saving to pay off my last credit card. Spending 'Buy British' at the moment to help prop things up. A bit of personal hardship cycling home from work at 4am but hopefully it will keep me spending and help the economy.

I'm in a similar position - it's pointless selling either of my motors now as neither of them are worth much. However if i'm careful i'll be able to make the most of when things start heading up again - it means living like a particularly hard-up student for the next two years, but it'll be worth it biggrin

I had no credit (on the cars) but have two kids too and the cost of living has gone through the roof....

My 7 year old son will just have to stick to a football career (and play for Man City!! LOL) as his karting dreams are very much on hold now. Another expense I can do without....

I want to take out another car lease but the economic situation tells me not to, even a bargain deal at around £150 pm.
