Had a load of insurance quotes with someone else's name?

Dad just phoned wondering if i'd been gettin any quotes for his house insurance, as when he got back from work today he had 8/9 letters from different companies with house insurance quotes in someone else's name. Seems a bit strange, had our full address and postcode etc just with this random blokes name on them.
Surely if you requested to have quotes sent by post you wouldn't make up an address?! and if its a home insurance quote you'd put your own address down surely?

Only thing I can think of is that this person has just made up a postcode to get a quote done? although why they've been sent out i'm not sure. House details has it down as a midterrace or something, which is wrong anyway

There was a mobile number on some of the quotes, but the number isn't recognised!
Think there's anything to worry about? Dad was a bit worried, but i can't see it being id theft or anything really. Probably will be fine

Yeah, if you get a quote on confused there's a couple of companies who send you a hard copy quote as well. Could be someone up the road who's shopping around

yeah thats what i thought, its a house name too rather than a number so mustve just typed a postcode in and clicked it i guess?
yeah just thought it was strange there werre about 9 in the post! Must've done hundreds of price comparisons over the years on various things and have never had anything in the post ( unless there was an option to choose it! )
