Whats the normal p.s.i for the oil for a 4,5RR? I see 60+ on cold engine and 40-50 on hot engine.
Is it correct? Please advise

I see similar - depending on the newness of the oil pressure relief valve 60+ or 70 + cold, and then 50 or so when hot at some revs. Can drop to 40 or so when idling...

The key bits tend to be ensuring the relief valve is renewed regularly, and that oil level is to/close to max at alll times.

Happy motoring...

what about a stock 4.2 ajp?

mines between 55 and 60 when cold, then goes to about 25 on idle, and rises with revs to about 50-55 psi when approaching 5k revs ish

I used to see about those numbers 60 cold idle, 40 warm. A fresh spring bought it up to 70psi cold idle rising to 80psi from about 2k rpm and up. When fully warm 50-55 at idle and ~70 when working. At 25psi at idle get the spring changed!
