selling my v8s

what a shame i have had to advertise my v8s for sale( due to running 2 cars and extending my family once again ) with my wife expecting our 3rd child early next year i have decided or rather she has that we need 1 large family car instead of her car and my tvr , this has been the best car i have ever owned , i'm a firefighter in the isle of man and i totaly enjoy waking all my neighbours in the early hours if i get a shout with the fantastic sound off the v8 .. it will be sadly missed when i sell it , it was a shame we never got much dry weather this year , but i did get several trips with the roof down and during the motorbike tt period i took advantage of the mountain road being 1 way to traffic with no speed restrictions, i must say doing 145mph ( just under 5,000 rpm ) with a passanger and the roof down was the only thing i can remember during the summer, the faster the car went the better it handled , i have not advertised this in the isle of man due to i don't want any test pilots turning up , also i would rather not see any one else driving it around when i'm pushing a pram,

Or a 350i 2+2... My parents nearly bought one to replace their M-series when I was a kid.

As for test drives I'd just specify that you want to see proof of insurance before allowing them. Anyone who's willing to arrange comprehensive cover should be pretty serious. Personally I find comments like 'no test pilots' a real turn off in car ads and I've never encountered anyone who actually travels to see a car just to drive it.

Yup. My father bought a +2 Tasmin to replace his 3000M when I was a kid although, having said that, he wasn't averse to putting me and my brother in the back of the M either.

Very different times....

Very different times....

In the end the M was put into storeage until my dad restored it a decade or so later and they bought an Alfa GTV6, but brochures and so on rapidly found their way onto my bedroom wall and I blame that for my subsequent TVR purchase! Too much exposure at an early age.

Just for nostalgias sake... it was this one and the accompanying flyer for the coupe. Takes me back...
