Hi guys,
I am currently in the process of trying to sell my Ford Fiesta without much luck! A guy i know has a D reg NA Automatic Supra which i have driven for the last day whilst he fixed my other car.
I went today to give the Supra back and pick up my car and he made me an offer - my Fiesta plus some cash in exchange for his Supra, which effectively values Supra at £600. The car in question is white, has done 96,000 miles, leather interior, long MOT, taxed till March 2009, some service history.
It drive's perfectly and only real down side is that the rear spoiler needs respraying, and there is slight rust bubbling on nearside front wheel arch. All electrics and pop up lights work perfectly and it's all original.
Am definately considering it, just wanted some opinions on if it was a good deal or not and what are the main things to look out for on these.
Thanks
ps. Here's a pic of the car:

NA autos are obviously the least desirable, but it's still an awful lot of car for not very much cash. Go for it if you can put up with the fuel economy (not exactly Fiesta like!) and are prepared to scrap it if something expensive breaks that you can't fix yourself.
Oh and have you driven it any significant distance or heard any gurgling noises from behind the dash? They blow headgaskets for fun and the most obvious sign is overheating once they've been driven a reasonable distance (30 mins should do it easily!).
Just sold mine and it goes tomorrow... I'll miss it.

http://www.mkiiisupra.net/ is a great resource if you haven't discovered it yet.
I'd say go for it if you aren't put off by the auto - I'm on my second and I think they're awesome cars for the cash. Visibility and long gearing means they're at their best on long journeys, and if you're tall the cabin's great - I love mine.
