Ha ha ha. I did worry for 2 or 3 seconds that I might have to eat my words!! You can find the location of the buyer (from Essex) by searching his ebay addy in the community pages. I still don't reckon it's worth anywhere close to £26k though and (according to Ted) the new back shell was not purchased from the factory. I'd be very cautious of the seller - if anyone is interested in it.

If you want to see a ultima with stickers that actually compliment it, have a look at my yellow Sport for sale on pistonheads.
Martin.
That's a very subtle plug Martin Martin.

I think your Sport looks great. My first ever ride in an Ultima was in your car. Driven by John Castle around Donington in about 1998 or 1999.

Hi Gary,
It is a lovely car to drive, John Castle certainly new what he was doing when he built it. I understand that a lot of development work was put into the car which the factory adopted.
EFI in a Ultima back in the 1990's must have been virtully unheard of!
Martin.
Yep, John was an Ultima fanatic! It is a lovely car to drive, John Castle certainly new what he was doing when he built it. I understand that a lot of development work was put into the car which the factory adopted.

Ooooops, Off topic. Sorry
ETA, John Castle was the guiding light of Ultima builders, a bit like Steve D today

sold for 23k on ebay then suddenly reappeared here at 26k??
has anyone actually seen the car?
I think that's the thing, it appeared to me that it was never going to be 'sold' on e-bay, just posted as a teaser. Now that interest has been shown the price has been 'Hoiked' up to double the e-bay amount. GTWayne was told by the seller that the car had been repaired with factory parts but unfortunately the seller didn't have the receipts to prove it, Ted at the factory couldn't confirm that a rear clip had been supplied either. It's worth a gamble at 15 Grand but my sphincter would be twitching at its current PH classified price has anyone actually seen the car?
