windscreen bonding

quick ? one of the S`s I have looked at, did not look great around the outside of windscreen, ie the bonding -sealing looked at bit weathered, is this common ? can it be easily re-sealed & with what if so.

Sounds like the glass de-laminating - a sort of milky effect around the edge of the black bit? It's caused by water getting in between the glass layers from the edge.

If so, then it's not repairable, you need a new screen.

Or you can do what I did and seal the edge of the screen to prevent it getting worse, and leave it alone.

not the screen itself, i am talking about the black seal stuff about 5mm thick around the screen

Black sikaflex is adhesive and better than silicone IMHO

Fully agree I have seen this used a a sole way of holding on side skirts and rear roof spoiler on a car to good effect.
