Yes!
The first question is easy... Where on earth are the side-lights on the gallardo?

The second question is harder... I love the sound of the G-car, esp when foot down in third or fourth at low revs... But... When higher up the rev range - I would love a more F1 style scream -- what exhaust delivers? I don't like mods - if the factory can't do it then who can, but, maybe there's a Gallardo exhaust that is quiet low down, doesn't rumble, but is a screamer higher up! Any advice is very welcome! Thanks

on the sl with the ignition on, the headlights are either on or off : there are no sidelights
with the ignition off, the front headlights switch off and the front sidelights turn on

Are you talking about an earlyish car? My MY08 Spyder screamed nicely at high revs (particularly in tunnels ), SL as stated does the same (though is more agricultural at low revs)

if its an MY06 spec or later then the exhaust is loud over 3k revs but quiet down low ...if you dont like that then see the htread i put on here saying Lambo louder now..... its not quiet down low though either but is very loud on acceleration.... and itll only cost you a small outlay depending on mechanic

on gallardos there is the head light switch in the centre sonsole. this is your side lights as andrew said.
