X350 XJR Fuel Consumption

I thought I would give you an update on the 2003-53 XJR I’ve just bought. After 3 weeks of running, I’m amazed about the fuel consumption. It’s fantastic.

22-25mpg combined, lots of short trips and a few 50-60 miles motorway runs all at 90mph, with brisk peaks of course….basically I’m not driving a like a nun; far from it.

To me this is excellent, as I am comparing against my previous 2002 XJ8 3.2 Sport, which returned the same or worse fuel consumption as the aluminium XJR.

So, go aluminium and save the planet!
