Given that the yanks like to call a car an 04 model if it is on sale in early 03 then I would guess that is for a V2, ie the one with the big boot and the exhausts both on the same side.

Actually I'm not so sure now, was the earlier model sold there? Or did they only get the VZ as it was their fault the fuel tank got moved into the ridiculous position...

The LS1 GTOs have single side exhaust, and are LS1 cars.

OK thanks. So they did sell the earlier cars with the big boot in US then... so why did they have to move the tank on the VZ?
