Diagnostic ???

Hi again,
I read about the diagnostic where you can fit the cable and run a program for the ECU and see some indications. To be honest i didnt exactly understand how this work and what I will need to have. Can you explain me?

You need the diagnostic software, which is available to download from here:

then you need a standard serial cable and a laptop ideally with serial port (usb to serial adaptors have been used with usb only laptops but often cause additional connection problems). Finally you need to open up the ECU (passenger footwell) upon which you will be presented with the socket for the serial. Then you gotta work through how the software works with the various screens etc but you can post screen grabs up here and people will usually help with spotting anything that doesn't look right.
