Had my Gallardo Spyder since Saturday and have to say I am very impressed.

On Tuesday it came up with an engine fault warning of

(engine picture)1-5 then (engine picture) 6-10.

This seemed to then reset itself but has now returned, the service centre say it should just need resetting at their place.

Just wondering if this and other fault warnings were common place ?.

Not happened on any of mine ... doesn't sound "normal" or "usual". Sorry if that isn't what you were hoping to hear, and I hope it isn't anything to worry about

Had that on mine. The light came on occasionally. Lambo said its fairly common and not to worry, the lambda sensors are apparently very sensitive. However, they changed a couple of them at the service and all has been fine since.

Has happenened repeatedly on all 3 Gallardos I have had.

It has usualy been nothing, and was cleared by taking it for a good long blast to get everything very warm.

On the Grey Spyder it was an exhaust gas sensor faulty.

On the new White one when interrogated over diagnostic by Lambo assistance it gave out an error of open circuit on cylinder 11 irked Clever on a V10.

That turned out to be a faulty knock sensor.

So yes, very common in my expierance, my solution would be to take it for a good long blast, it that doesn't clear it stick some black insulating tape over the warning light!

could be anything from a misfire to a faulty sensor or a more seriouse problem. Get it to a lambo garage and they can diagnose it correctly and rectify the problem

Had it on my coupe but not my spyder. If it's serious it will put the engine into limp home mode and shut down one bank of cylinders which is what happened to me. Turned out to be a faulty ECU on one cylinder bank in my case.

sorted ok, no recurrences, sleep easy

Might be worth checking it's had the recent throttle body recall completed as that's something which can apparently put the car into limp home mode as well. No idea if that's the cause of your problem but if you are taking the car in to get the light checked you may as well ask them to check that at the same time.

Mine comes up occasionaly 1-5 the lambda sensors are very very sensitive. If it was anything serious the engine would go into limphome mode as mentioned before.

I have had 3 Gallardos in this year for detail, first 2 early cars and the latest one wae a 56 plate spider . The first two did not suffer with this problem ! But the late spider absolutely hated being ran for short time and kept bringing on the same engine warning light after stop starting it (to move it around and in and out of the workshop) ! It would show the same warnings engine 1-5 and engine 6-10 on the laptop shows a problem with the oxygen sensors , The main reason is that the reading before cat to after cat of the sensors is past the threshold limit so brings on the warning light!!

Even if you clear the fault code it will back straight away , when you drive the car for some distance the cats and sensors get up to correct operating temp then either clear themselve or will stay off after cleared with a laptop!! ( this is mainly to do with the technology in ecu's checking and learning all the time)
But still this does not happen to all gallardos and very rare on other makes, funny thing is the car had just been into lamborghini for this problem top be fixed!!!;)

Still problems or no problems absolutely gorgeous cars

Had a "1-5" in my 08 G, happened just as soon as I started it. I turned the engine off and restarted the car and it went away. My dealership told me that it sometimes does that when the engine is cold.

On the new LP560 they have changed from having 2 old tech LIE ECUs, one for cylinders 1-5, one for 6-10 and they now run a proper single Bosch ECU.

I'd like to bet that will be so much better.
