Gents, I am going to change the steering rack on my 280i (not power ) I have a new rack is there anything I need to be careful on whilst carrying this out - any advice on proceedures would be good. Cheers Ian
Make sure the track rods have an equal amount screwed in to the rack and that the universal joints on the steering column line up. ie. the relative planes must be parallel and matching.
I know what I mean but I’m sure somebody can explain that better
The trackrods need to be checked, as they could have a TVR specific length. And if different and the old ones are fine, you can reuse them. If you do a search on the forum, you can find additional information on this topic as well.
