(Gingerbread Man's brother)

In my Grande Punto (56 reg) every so often the digital mileage display will begin flashing, i.e. the numbers flash on and off the screen. I can't find anything in the manual to explain why this would be, and the numbers seem to be entirely random so I've discounted a subtle message telling me to go for a service etc.

Anyone else experienced this?

Thanks in advance!

Slightly off topic, but maybe of help to you.

I've been reading a few posts on fiat forums about the 500, it would appear the flashing speedo is happening on those cars too.

Well upon reading a few forums, it looks as though there is some sort of error in connection between the can and bus systems that the 500 has.

Have a look over on

Yep, pop it back to the Fiat dealer!

Its the timing on the CanBus system, this can happen if the timing is a little out between the various computers on the system. It won't take them long after they plug in to the system.
