I'll be picking up a '91 Westfield SE 1.6 on a Q plate soon and will need to sort out insurance. I've got a garage (not at home address) and would ideally like trackday cover included. I'm 30 and on the Kent/London border.

Any recommendations for me to try? I haven't owned a kit car before, so not sure about any specialists etc.

Adrian Flux are who I'm with, but others to try:

Footman James
MSM Insurance
Osborne and Sons

(And I'm sure there'll be others with more to try).

Insurance is a 'distress' purchase. Nobody bought it for fun.

I insure my kit car through the broker MSM where the quality of service takes as much of the distress away as possible.

No, I'm not connected to MSM. I sell insurance for NFU Mutual, but they don't do kit cars!

I insure both my VVC Libra and our Type 2 VW with MSM. The service is better than any other KitCar insurer I've used and cheaper than most.

MSM as well, but unless they've changed, they don't cover trackdays.

Thanks but I'm looking for a policy which includes trackday cover.
