Well it looks like my Optimate has finally died and taken the battery with it. Currently trying to recover the battery with an old fashioned charger.

Anywhoo, which conditioner do people who use em recomend??? The old optimate was around 5 years old and was used all the time so probably shouldn't be suprised its given up.

Should I just get another one or are there better options than an optimate????

See what I did therehehehehe
Mine also died - 3 years old..

Battery just about OK..

I have both a CTEK XS3600 and Accumate Optimate in continuous use when I'm not driving the cars. Both have worked fine for several years. The CTEK device is a little lighter and more compact. It has also won a number of awards. If I were buying again I'd go on price between the two.

It all depends on the rating of your battery.

Had my optimate for 9 years or more now, always hooked up to my bikes when not in use,and now attached to the Griff via the cigar lighter, still going strong, gotta be one of my better investments.

Hi Quinny, I got fed up with always having to charge the battery so I put in a battery switch; the griff still started after 6 months with no problems. If someone tried to steal the car the alarm automatically comes on in the "armed" position. cheers, John. PS thanks for the help with the 4 post hoist, the Lotus is on it with diff out.
