I was told by boosted LS1 that the BOB engines was less suitable tham the BOA engine

Boosted LS1 said:

First engine is a BOB engine without it's inlet manifold assembly. Not much use for a tvr conversion as the ecu is a pain as is the VIS on the inlet. Most people avoid this engine.

Second engine is the earlier produstion engine, a BOA. This is the one suited to most diy conversions as it's a simpler unit to plug and play with.

At current prices it would be cheaper to give away your existing TVR and buy a V8S.
Do not underestimate what it would cost to fit something like that engine, even if you do it yourself, it will cost 10 times more than you think.
Think Exhaust. ECU. The list goes on. It can be done, just not cheaply.

I guess you're right...as usual. 5k ain't much for a V8S is it? It would sort the ride height, performance ect ect and no hassle (save trying to sell the V6S...)
