I have just seen a balloon going past at quite a height and a hell of a speed - I always thought they could only fly in a breeze, not a hoolie like today. What are the restrictions for these sort of things and wind?

They will have fun getting it down yikes.....last seen heading for Holland.

Are you sure that there wasn't a man sat in a lawn chair suspended under the balloon?

I think that so long as the wind isn't too high and they can gurantee landing on one of their landing sites there shouldn't be a problem.

The first AND last time I went in a Hot Air Balloon we crash landed as the pilot clearly had no idea that depending on altitude and air temperature the wind would vary in direction.

It was a fun experience though! hehe

The mother in law was supposed to go on a ballon ride this morning but it was cancelled due to high wind. Bugger!
