I am looking for a near side mirror for my 1988 wegde, can anyone tell me what car they are off.

If it's just the glass/mirror you want I made a cardoard template for mine and got a couple made at the local glass shop. Cost £2.00 each!

Wasn't it that rover sd1 stuff was used? Looks like that on mine but can't check as my sd1 doesn't have electric mirrors....
Or you can perhaps convert the existing system to something else. If memory serves me well something like saab stuff seems to be mentioned in the past that could do the trick.
General trick I used (not on the wedge as everthing is working except the rear brakes at the moment...) is 'manual' adjustment of electric stuff by pushing the mirror directly. Probably this is sucking egss to you guys, but thought it is worth to be mentioned anyway.

The pods are TVR special, the motors are Rover SD1/SAAB 900-9000 and I believe the glass is from a capri, but don't quote me on this. The glass is not Rover SD1.

Mirror pods are available new from tet mouldings (Trevor Bee) £35.00 each but exclude internals.

Have you tried one of the breakers on Classifieds (parts section) if it's the complete unit you're after ?
