Finding out some basic details about a person

I have an acquaintance and things about them don't add up - to the point that I'm actually worried they could be potentially umm..dangerous. (a real fantasist...)

So how do you find details about a person - just to check out a few bits that they have said. Their family is supposed to be well known, but I can't find any info. Stuff they've said doesn't add up, and they do some down right odd stuff..

Like I said, I'm a bit scared.

Is he or any member of his family on facebook? Always a good source

I`m sure you`ve already done this, but running the name through Google or Facebook can reveal a few things.

It would depend on exactly what details they were, but if you think they could be dangerous then the others are right, keep away!

You could always infiltrate his friends list, although that could then make you the weirdo stalker....

I know this person quite well - but I'm beginning to think not as well as I did.

There is no chance of avoiding them without it seeming like I'm avoiding them, if that makes sense.

I just wanted to almost double check info I've been given to see how accurate it is - not to be nasty, but to see how stable this person is...

The person in questions parents are supposed to be high ranking in the scheme of things (ok now I feel like i'm being watched I don't want to reveal anything of note) but I can't even find reference of that...

Find out where they previously worked - phone up and ask for an off the record reference. See what they say, you might be suprised how often people open up when it\'s strictly off the record.

Well I was going to go for public records but I've no idea how to view them - like divorce cases, public engagements etc.

Also know which school they supposedly went to - may be thats worth looking into.

Local paper of where family are from and search the history for the family name. Lots of things can be found out that way.

How do you get dates of birth of people? And look into their background?
