A friend and I are planing a little trip to Wales, planning on taking in some of the sights, some curves, some tarmac and the EVO triangle - Of course it will be within the confines of the law etc.

This evening I had what could be a stupid idea..... how about a Midlands Drive Out to Wales? Given the weather at the moment it could be tricky to arrange and would probably have to be done through a list of interested members and given the "OK" late on a Friday evening, depending on the forecast.

An Early Sunday morning start would be best I think.

I suggest a start point of the M42 J10 Services at Tamworth.

Would anyone else be interested in this? What are your toughts on it?

I'd be up for this but Midget is most likely being put away for the winter and probably wouldn't keep up anyway! So would have to be in the BMW, if that would be OK.

Sounds a plan, we did this a few years back, met folks at M6 jct16, then headed out and took lunch at a cafe on the way into Betws y Coed. I'd be up for the run out.

Sounds like a good idea, have been thinking of arranging something like this with a couple of friends. Keep me posted.

I'd interested as well date/weather permitting.

I know the area quite well and could arrange a decent pub, large car park, close to the triangle, if required.

I believe i was on that run, t'was a good'un.

I'd suggest J16 M6 might be a bit of a better place to meet as it's more west of the region, for a run that will go west, as it were. There's a liitle chef and stuff there and room to park, fuel etc.

I'll add meself to the list.
