A sad day fellas, Kippax my beloved 8 1/2 month old Irish Wolfhound has become too big to squeeze into the front of the Cerb. No more can we go jaunting about to the park to purve at the yummy mummies and such. Now the cerb is staying and so is kip as she is a far better companion than a fulltime bird or wo betied the sheer thought of a live in fk buddy.

So
what runabout is the option, aobviously nothin akin to a Cerb, but what would you choose as a utility vehicle? obviously speed, asthetics and handling are all major factors and a budget of <5k is also important....ideas please?

white leather and muddy paws, plus the evil ex-wifebeast has that at present :-(

as for the beemer, an M5 estate would be the only real option (if they existed), but i dont fancy the estate car route. Bowler wildcat might be interesting but not for 5k

I,m thinking classics aka Lancia HPE volumex or alfa GTV6 with a hatchback, Gralie or even a MK2 RS 2000............arrggghhhhhhhhhh the choices

Saab 9000 turbo, any of them would do. Lots of space for a wolfie in the back and you can get a boot liner for them.

Nothing like what you are looking at but my vote is a battered old Landy Defender, make a great foil to a Cerb and you enjoy it for what it is (a slow noisy old bus with tons of character). Something like this one

A Cerb and a Volvo V40 do it for me, keeps the Bassets and the Springer away from MY car.

Its a late e34 m5 (3.8 then, so 340 bhp) with 90k on it. Dealer asking price: 3995.

If I could possibly justify it myself, I'd buy it right now.
