In fact it's a 1.8iS. The Mk2.5 equivalent is the 1.8i Sport so it would be fair to assume that the S stands for Sport.
The 1.8iS was the top model in UK so should have electric windows, mirrors & ariel, leather seats and some other bits I can't think of at the moment.

Yep.

Injection. Sport.

Basically this model gets power steering and elec windows (same as Japs) as the UK 1.8's lost the spec that the 1.6 got as std.

Imports got AC and (mostly) an LSD too so you're still better off with a Jap car IMO.

As well as electric aerial, mirrors and windows, UK MK.1 1.8iS models also came with ABS, power steering, silver metal (aluminium?) door speaker surrounds, and nice shiny sill plates. Can't think of anything else!

15" alloy wheels! The standard 1.8i had steel wheels though most had the alloy option.

Thanks
I have seen a green P reg car, very clean and tidy with pop up lights going for £2,000.

The car is running on 185/60/14 tyres with original style alloys, should they be 15"?

The sills match the car rather than being black and the rubber at the base of the screen is lifting up at each end.

The panels are good with good gaps but I just have a feeling about this car, has it been hit?

The car has the silver door speaker surrounds and the sill platesbut no leather interior.

Anything I should be looking out for?

Thanks for any help given.

I know it sounds obvious but have you doen a HPi check on the car? (I know not all bumps are recorded) but it's a good start.....

No, I think I was wrong. I think the standard 1.8iS alloys were 14". It's the special editions that got the 15" wheels wink
