Ive just got myself booked on one of these 1st lotus jobbies to learn how to drive the fella.

Need to get some good shoes to let me do all the fancy stuff that they are going to teach me (well try to).

Dont want to look a total tool turning up in proper racing shoes etc any recommendations other than something with a thin sole thats not to sticky or slippery?

Thin sole and smooth sides.

Take a look at the Pumas on bookatrack's site (www.bookatrack.com).

I use Sparco black leather driving boots, they look pretty much like ordinary black suade shoes at a glance. Makes it much easier to use the pedals.

Be careful. Nothing quite as bad as turning up in a pair of shoes that are faster than the bloke wearing them.

A pair of slip on Merrels does the job for me when I want to practice my fancy footwork.

Nike and Reebok are doing some rather nifty 'travel trainers' v. lightweight shoes that dont look specifically driver.

check JD sports and/or JJb sports... for the Nikes
Argos additions/schuh for the Reeboks

Cheers, yeah the shoes need to be pretty slow not to be faster than the driver!

Have to get brave and push the kids out of the way in the sports shops!

Is this just a general plug, or is there something there relevant to this thread?

You might occasionally find a pair of fast shoes at the site, yes. ;-)

Well I got the Puma's so many thanks.

Very comfy fella me lads indeed. Got them in "kangaroo" (I kid you not) colour so dont stand out to much and make me look to wannabe
