I've seen a few of these running, made the mod touring guys look slow.

after buying my tamiya F103RM i have seen first hand that a well set up fast engined RWD leccy car is faster/handles better and less bother than my old 3 speed nitro car.

did i mention the handling? :O

i will get one of those before new year, with everything centre mounted i bet it sticks to the road like nothing else.

just need to work out how i can get another rc car (which the missus hates) without the missus noticing . . . . . . any ideas are welcome.

Ahhh that old chestnut.. depends really on how observant she is. Home deliveries and new boxes left about are a no no, do you have a work address or helpfull mate who can take delivery ?

The old 'Its the same car just a diferent body' works quite well if its of similar size to the ones shes familiar with. Or 'I bought it broken off ebay for a fiver...' is ok.. course then you have to put in an appropriate amount of time 'repairing' it before you have it running.

Before she sees it for the first time you want to give it a run in a dusty car park to hide the newness, a few bits of electrical tape appearing to cover non existant body cracks also helps. This can all be cleaned and removed later after you've spent more time 'repairing' your new toy.

Why not just give her £200 as a distraction, your car will cost far more than this but she won't have a clue. If you say it was expensive and cost £200 and you thought she should spend the same money on herself she'll be bowled over. Everyones happy.

Get a mistress and keep the car(s) at her place. Not a cheap option, admittedly.
