Particularly in the field of leisure. Do they subcontract out the management of leisure facilities? If so does anybody know what kind of contracts are in place in regards to fees / profit sharing etc?
I've not got direct experience in this field, but yes, the management of leisure centres etc is often sub-contracted out. Couldn't comment on the arrangements though.
I would have though that management of the centres would be on the basis of who would provide the best value service and maintenance level against a pre-determind standard for the least public money.
Ring them up and ask them! Often the simplest way. As for profitability, someone somewhere is making money, if your costs are less or you offer a better SLA, you might win the business.
true. the ways that an outsourced organisation makes money can be in making better use of the facilities management side, think bigger than just the actual services delivered.
