Am I too young for a new shape XKR??
Discussion
Rear child seats in XK/XKR's are mutually incompatible with car seats. Or children.
Try the Audi section for a labrador carrying ueber estate.
And no, at 33 you are not too young. The lower the age demographic driving Jaguars the better as far as I am concerned. It signifies indifference to what the crowd are doing or driving.

Not wishing to sound like somebodies Dad as also I'm 33 and have 3.5 year old. The Rs4 estate makes loads more sense a the stage of life you are at/approaching.
An XKR will be worth the wait...
Yes I can see your point mate.....From Lotus to RS4 I'm not sure I can go from quirky (lotus) to sensible (RS4) straight away, I may need to look at other options 997 perhaps??? or even the Maserati GS but the running costs/reliability scare me with that one!!!An XKR will be worth the wait...

IMHO, the new XKs are much more of an old codger's car than the previous shape. The 2004/5 models look much sportier and are much lower and more streamlined. I was shocked when I first stood next to the new shape - it's almost as high as a people carrier and altogether much squarer and blockier than my lovely 04 model. Believe me, in years to come when people talk about the classic XK, they won't be referring to the new models.
Jag never were old mans cars, at least not since they stopped making the Mk IX in about 1961. Every Jag since then has been too low to the ground for the old mens knees to cope with. Once they become old they are forced to get out of the Jag and buy something like a Beemer.
I was in my early thirties when I got my first Jag.
