I have always watched that programme hoping I could recognise and grass someone up but have drawn a blank so far.
Don't you like your kneecaps then? This was back when my parents had their shop open so 10-15 years ago. There was a photofit of someone on Crimewatch that had come in to try and sell gold chains/rings and such to them and other customers.
Nothing came of it other than my dad phoning to say he was here on such and such a date.
How exiting was that!

I'd love to recognise someone on Crimewatch but it hasn't happened yet. Dunno if i'd grass the person up if I did recognise him/her though, it would depend on the crime.
Quite like the new format with Kirsty though. Apart from that Mathhew Amroliwala or whatever his name is. Smarmy git.

I sat there and saw someone I used to go to school with crop up, he was living just round the corner from mum at the time and was later interviewed for Jill Dando's shooting (due to the Crimewatch connection) he is a bit of a naughty boy and is currently serving six years for firearms offences. One of the Project Managers at a clients also became the overnight talk of the office when her Boyfriend appeared on it and was sat next to her at the time! She'd made the mistake of introducing him to most of her work collegues a week or so before at a works do.

Not quite crimewatch but the mother of someone i used to play rugby with was on a traffic cop show about 10 years ago, pulled over for drink driving i think.
Did we ever get to the bottom of the one where a blue Griffith 500 gets pulled in East London for curb crawling? It gets shown on repeats every now and again and he's got to be on here somewhere, it caused me grief at the time as it was the same colour as my old one and my only saving grace was it had different wheels! This always reminds me of this, which I'm surprised no-one has posted yet...

I've never recognised anyone on it though I do occasionally watch it in case I do. I'm also slightly concerned that I may one day be wrongly wanted for a crime I didn't commit so I reckon watching Crimewatch is my best chance at an early warning alarm so I can scarper.
Also, one of my friends was asked to participate in a line-up once (not as a suspect, but as a 'control member') but he said no.

After the company i worked for folded, he started another insurance broker's business, the only thing was he wasn't paying the insurance underwriters the premiums.Their specialty was business insurance (in particular Orange Lodges in N.I apparently) so he was taking the premiums and not paying the underwriters. Which is fine until someone needs to make a claim......
It all went tits up when one of the businesses had a severe fire and went looking to claim on their insurance and found out they had no cover.
He was on the run for about 4 months, i think, and when he was put on crimewatch he eventually came forward.
At the trial (i went to see for a day, just because he was a prick and i wanted to see him get what he deserved) i think the judge would have given him more jail time but they could only prove so much of the fraud. Still him, his wife and his son (company directors) all got the jail.
And i didn't go for a large gin to celebrate
