We are getting to the point of needing a new bed, so it's time to do some research.

I seem to remember this brand of bed was discussed in length on a thread some while ago, but I don't seem to be able to get into the search thingy.

So, could I ask for pro's and cons for these beds, and maybe recommendations for other good brands.

May thanks

Peter

Pro - the nicest bed you will EVER sleep on!!!

Con - ridiculously expensive......but probably worth it when you consider how much of our life we spend in it.

Can't abide them.

Makes me sweat like Gary Glitter in a kindergarten swimming pool.

Thanks to you all for your help. Must start saving the pennies if it's to be a Tempur!

spent ages researching this and opted for Flexcell 25cm new generation mattress from
www.memory-mattress.co.uk (check for discounts/vouchers etc..we got superking for £610, exact same one elsewhere £1200)

best thing we have ever bought!!

forgot to add - this make came out very highly in which report not long ago.

Go for a mud mattress water bed. Temperature adjustable and super comfortable.

Already got a waterbed Funky, and have had for 10 years. Feel it's now time to have a more conventional, and lower maintainance one.

Just got a memory foam mattress - not Tempur though - and it's bloody great!

Went for a combination of top half memory foam, bottom half pocket sprung, and this is still well comfortable after a couple of years without being over-warm (it is cosy though).

I didnt realize tempur made beds, thought they made matresses?
I suffer from neck pains alot & have decided to look into trying a tempur matress free for 60 days & if you dont like it they will collect it totally free of charge.

surely how you feel about tempur depends on whether you like a soft mattress or a hard one?

Those of you that have them - are they hard or soft? - I know they "Mould themselves to your body" or whatever, but does that mean it is like lying on a soft mattress?

You can't go and try them out in a shop anywhere - can you?

excellent beds, but we didn't go for the tempure matress in the end, we just couldn't justify the cost. half way solution was to buy a cheaper brand and see how we felt.

never had such a good nights sleep hehe

I can do you a deal on these... http://www.sleepshaper.co.uk/
We have one in the shop you can try. I have one and I can honestly say it is better than most. You can also opt for a firmer one if you like a firm bed.
