Afternoon guys, I've posted the following in the T350 forum but since you all have the same engine (apart from capacity in most cases) I was after your thoughts and experiences on water/oil temps and pressures. Just trying to get a good idea of what is/isn't normal.

This time of year oil temperature drops when on the move, 60 Deg.C is the same as my Tuscan S. Water temperature is 75 to 80 Deg.C.

Your oil pressure does seem a bit low, when hot (oil >80 Deg.C) at idle speed (1000 RPM) mine is between 12 & 15 PSI above 2500 RPM is 50 PSI. This can also depend on the oil type you are using mine is on Mobil 1 0W40.

Not sure about just now because mines is off the road but I normally get low to mid 20's at hot idle and mid 40's under load but that's just up to 3500 tops. Don't tend to rev it that much to be honest.

Oil pressure I see mid to high 20's at hot idle (10 - 40 semi synthetic). On the move the water temp site around 78 - 80

Thanks guys - I'm going to get in touch with Castle who I purchased from as it sounds like a couple of my readings are a little dubious. The oil pressure sensor was changed at time of sale as on test drive it was readins 3-4 at idle and coming up with a warning. The new one appears to have raised it a little but not by enough.

The water temp also appears to be too high from what you say as well - if it's around 95 running in this weather I dread to think how how it'll be when it gets warm again.

Hopefully just down to dodgy sensors but we shall see.

Oil pressure c.80psi cold idle.
Pressure c.60psi with engine at normal op temp(75*) 3k rpm.
Pressure c.45-55 with engine at first fan cut in (89*) 3k rpm.

Oil temp always takes a little longer to rise at this time of year and with outside air temp at 14degrees settles around 45-55 degrees on steady motorway cruise.

May have been asked already but what oil are you using?

Anyway enough help from here, back over you go to your own forum wink

Mine takes ages to warm up and 75 degrees water is about normal cruising.

When fully hot though the oil and water temps are nearly the same with the oil a degree or two below the water, upto 93 water when the fans cut in. I would have thought that this would be normal for any IC engine?

Hmmm! My water when cruising is around 95 and on idle in traffic can touch 100deg. Oil cruising is around 50-60 in this weather and 80 on idle. Sounds like I may need to get my sensor and actual temps checked.
