The oh bought tickets for al green at the MEN for friday a wile ago.

We're considering selling as we went to see stevie wonder at the same venue a couple of weeks ago and it wasn't amazing considering the tickets were nearly £100 a pair eek rubbish venue.

I realise we've probably left it a bit late but what options do we have?

Will i get a good price from a tout on the door?

Cheers,

Rick.

you will get 50p from a tout. . . if the tickets are in high demand i.e. sold out stick um on eBay for face value

if not sell at what someone would pay!

Have you considered a thinly veiled ad on an internet forum?

The best way to sell them is to put on a cockney accent and hang around outside the venue offering them to people.

Sold some Kanye tickets within a couple of days on ebay. You can list for any price you want as long as the original face value is stated in the relevant listing section. Cost me £8 to sell the tickets and collect via robpal.... Barstewards!

very good laughlaugh

i'm impressed you didn't go for the obvious 'worst ever ........ post' style format.

every one else thanks for the advise smile

re: MEN. it really is a rubbish venue. the last time i went was oasis YEARS ago and i'd forgotten how huge it is. you might as well be watching at home on telly as it's hard to make out anything thats going on from the top tear. sound is reasonable but the atmosphere is pants. the stevie concert was full of drunken idiots (i mean REALLY pissed). god knows how they managed to get so wasted the bar Q's were huge.

anyway. hopefully the kanye gig will be better! laugh

i much prefer the appolo or academy.

Ah well.. I've not been to a music concert before, so i'll probably still find it really good lol. We've got tickets in the bottom tear but near the top of them.. It does look really big though there? Hopefully it'll still be good, my lady friend who i'm going with went last year and said it was really good.

seatwave is a good place - I've not sold from there, only bought (and it does seem like they levy a high admin cost onto tickets) however, it's full of guarantees which is safer for buyers and sellers.

Unlike ebay, where I've just been shafted.

yup.

mr wonder was £48 per person. i think al is a poultry £46.

total of nearly £200 spent. not value for money in my eye's for two evenings entertainment and thats BEFORE you start paying for drinks and transport ect.

bit of a joke if you ask me, i wouldn't have booked them in the first place but it's her money so i can't complain.

Sorry-I was being sarcastic as £48 per tickets seems a completely normal amount and I was a little suprised at your eek smiley after amount

yip - MEN is a realy crap venue - accoustics are horrid.

Always try to avoid going to gigs there. I'd reather travel to the NEC than go to the MEN.

went to see Maiden on the fan club tour of Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham - Glasgow was ok, Manchester's sound was just muddy and boomy, while the NEC was suprisingly good - very clear.

Play.com have just started up a ticket section where you can sell your tickets and they give various guarantees to the purchasers etc - might be worth checking them out.

If you have a ticketmaster account then you can sell on in their "myticketexchange" section in your profile
