Can't really compare the two.

That's still good, though.

Very clever, but chalk and cheese when trying to compare to Banksy.

Friend of mine sold a banksy a couple of weeks ago. Monkey on a detonator. It was expected to reach 6 figures but because of the lack of cash at the moment it fetched 40k. Not bad considering he payed £250 about 8 years ago.

To say that that is better than Banksy is to suggest that the Bash Street kids are better than Dilbert.

Could you point me in the direction of some inflatable street art that Banksy has created? Just so I can compare the two.

I said better than banksy for a couple of reasons...

Banksy lost what little respect I had for him when he did this:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7587936.stm

i.e. donated to the labour party which seems to be rather at odds with the messages he's trying to convey in his art. A couple of his biggest subjects seem to be war and big brother type authoritarianism, neither of which labour can hold any moral high ground on.

And the second reason is that his message that tagging ain't art seems to be lost on the youf who either have no respect for his example, don't agree or don't even know about him. Anyway round, he's not helping kids to get an idea about respect for their environment.

This street art in the link I posted is superb, it's non scarring, imaginative, entertaining and hopefully sets a more creative example about how you can make street art without someone getting upset. Art (and especially street art) needn't be controversial and that is what's refreshing about this.
