Bloody hell I love fireworks...

But not every night until 11pm and beyond.

Diwali - Quietly please my Hindu friends.

I don't mind it at all. A lot of people get wound up over the noise and it makes the local rag headlines, but what is the big`deal? Some kids might get burned or blinded but thats all part of growing up.

1am for Diwali night, Chinese New Year and New Year, midnight for the 5th. Any other day it's 11pm. Heard a couple at the weekend, first of the season. Much less than previous years.

Anyone else see the next big thing for fireworks night on the Gadget Show? A flame proof paper hot air balloon with a candle in it that creates the hot air for it to float away and light up the balloon like a giant glowing orb. It burns for 5mins.

If anyone has a thatched roof make sure you damp it down nicely every night from now till November December Janu better make that February.

Got to the front page of the local rag round here already. Causes us issues it does. Why can't teachers get the cane back?

Festivals perhaps but I have never seen them being recommended for fireworks night, especially as they were 2nd best in a top 5 run down.

i fking hate these things, they should be on sale for 1 day a year, the ones we can buy are ste anyway. I have to sell them at work, it goes on for a month, theyhave to be kept in sealed boxes, only the manager is allowed the keys so I end up traipsing about getting wkers fireworks. Then I have neds asking for them and having to tell them to piss off because theyre not 18. Thankfully I live in a jewish area so theres nobody for miles around setting the things off yet. That said it is still glasgow so it sounds like downtown kabul on the 5th.
