Are there many of these that are currently on the road as I don't recall one being put up for sale as of yet?

Has anyone an idea of the cost of a full LS7 conversion ?
I mean everything included (exhaust headers and system,...)
And is my actual trans (G50 6 speed from Ultima factory)good enough to accept
LS7 power and torque ?
I've heard and read so many different positions about it
that I can't clearly understand... I'm french after all :-)

My conversion cost £26,000 complete. The whole job was done by Gardner Douglas and the labour cost was not bad considering the amount of fiddling and faffing they had to do. Pleased I didn't attempt it myself. Proper professional job.

The LS 7 transports the car to a level way beyond the fuel puking, rattling SBC, and drives like a proper civilised car shouldyes..that said it's a heck of a lot of dosh

Merci Daniel,

I can see the prices going up as well, with the $ being suddenly quite weak. A $32k LS7 package has gone from around £20,500, to around £25,500 in the space of 6 months.

Standard G50/03 (5 speed). No problem - just had to modify the gear linkage a bit.

Hi Phil

nothing really it just isnt as good as i would of hoped it would be, Can am Dave went out with me in it and he thought it was good but i want reliable, smooth , economical power and you simply do not get that with the SBC running at 530bhp!! Lots of people on here say 400bhp is enough but it aint for me!!!! Im sure an efi SBC with 400bhp would be a lot smoother and more economical but i bought an Ultima to scare myself stupid in. I also want to do some touring ie France etc and 14-15 mpg max is not acceptable in my eyes. I have spoken to several LS boys and they are seeing 24mpg on a steady runcool I want to take Luckys crown next year as wellnuts

Many thanks for the replies guys. I take it that many of the current builds are now going the LS route, which may take a few years before they trickle down to the for sale section?

Jeff squeezed 552hp out of a normally aspirated LS3 (6.2 litre) a couple of days ago with only a cam change.

He's testing it with ported heads next week.
