Was reading that earlier on. I'm sure once they realise it is not feasible they will rewrite the law in a few years time. Just keep the greenies happy in their little corner rolleyes

I am reading an excellent book at the moment, it is called Cool It,by a Bjorn Lomborg, worth a read for anyone actually concerned about global warming. He also wrote The Skeptical Environmentalist, another good read.

This bloke is terrific - healthy scepticism for MMGW and purveyor of a well-researched and coherent argument. Greenies hate him.

Lve the fact they are trying to get all industry out of the country by making it not financially viable.

One of the things I like about him is that he provides all his references so they can be checked if you don't believe him.

We are being conned into thinking we can make a big difference to global warming, the truth is huge amounts of money will make a very small difference, for example, implementing the whole of the Kyoto agreement would stave off global warming temperatures by around 3-5 years, that is the temperature would increased by 2.5deg in 95 instead of 100 years !

That money would be better spent, if spent at all, preparing for higher global temperatures.

We have bigger concerns at the moment than eco-bks. Like a recession. Talk about compounding the problem!

No reduction in CO2 would change anything. There is NO CO2 SIGNAL!!

There's a reason the Greenies hate him- because he used to be one of them, but he's also a professor or Doctor at a University and did alot of work with his team before taking his latest stance. The Greenies were very angry at his change and started to lob stuff at him when he'd do his speeches.
If this isn't the best argument I don't know what is...
