S14 for me.
If you need to ask about MPG, you don't want. It is certainly not an economical cruiser.
Depends how and where you drive it.If you need to ask about MPG, you don't want. It is certainly not an economical cruiser.
If I was being careful with mine, and doing quite a few long runs I regularly saw 400+ miles out of a tank, with my record being 460 odd.

s14 touring in maroon!. pick them up very reasonably nowadays.

Burgundy is very nice I'll have you know.
here is mine -
as someone pointed out get along to http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/index.php
S13's are really showing their age now and tin worm is a big problem. If its been tuned and not looked after then big ends can be problematic - otherwise its just the normal wear and tear stuff and even then nothing big. A guy I worked with sold his with 245k on the clock and was on the original engine and gearbox.
S14/S14a some older S14's are starting to show signs of age with tin worm, but generally speaking these are just a few ATM. Biggest issue with S14's is probably the Intercooler pipes cracking and getting boost leaks, otherwise again they are pretty reliable with just wear and tear stuff. Just ensure its been looked after.
there are plenty of examples with well over 100k running stage 1 (270ish bhp).
If you plan on tuning I would buy one already at stage 1. It will be cheaper in the long run. Many have been tuned and 'returned' to standard so don't be fooled by these. If you use the search facility on SXOC you can probably find out a cars history by the questions posed in the tech sections - it may warn you of a bad un.
consumption will be at best 30-35mpg driven like a 90 year old gramdma. On a blast I've had 17mpg and on track probably close to single figs.
Cracking cars
My MPG = Turn the boost up and dont map = approx 23 mpg. 270-330 bhp with HD Chip (Cheap as chips
) looking at between 26 & 32 mpg average. 400 bhp tends to be more like a 23 mpg average
SXOC is the font of all knowledge and there are some cracking cars for sale there, definitely get a modded one

I had one with pop up lights.
I loved it but then i had ECU problems and swiftly traded it in for a motorbike.
Great side ways fun in the wet.
S13 - I love the look of those things. My older Bro had one of those and when I was looking for a new car he said I would be mad not to get an s14a (bhp per £). I love my s14a and I wouldn't swap it but the s13 has a certain charm. Also while I had an s14 and he had an s13 for the first time in my life I owned a quicker car than him ... and a couple of months later he went and got a 300zx I loved it but then i had ECU problems and swiftly traded it in for a motorbike.

Nissan Turbo power is the way ahead! s14/s14a are a great way to own a reasonably affordable and highly tuneable car. And as stated earlier - a great support network on the sxoc web site.

I'm not too worried about MPG really as I'm sure I don't get 30 out of the VTI,
Thinking of dark blue,white(i wish

Why not pop to a local SXOC meet, you can get lots of first hand experience and probably grab a passenger ride

When I drove my ex's I would get about 20mpg as an average.
I think I must give it a bit more beans as a bit sluggish compare to what I drive.

That being said, it only does single figures mpg around the ring
More on normal tracks though! sparkyhx said:

Just been to Oulton Park and managed 10.5 mpg

p.s. as SteA has said getting it mapped will help consumption - I think I went from around about 25mpg to close to 30mpg (conservative drive) after mine had its Horsham Development Stage 1 chip put in.
