First ride into work today

After a while of not cycling much I've invested in some slicks, gloves, lights, reflective coat etc and this morning was my first ride into work! Approx 13 miles from Islington to Stanmore!

It took 10 minutes longer than my journey on the tube, and I arrived at work although slightly cream crackered alot more alert! It's only now I could do with a kip...

A little scared about the ride back at night time, but looking forward to getting quicker

Make sure you ride well out into the road, with an eye to traffic approachign from behind. If you stay in the gutter the traffic on side-roads will not see you easily.
