Following on from our dyno day earlier this year which seemed to go down quite well, we would like to offer TVR owners the opportunity for another dyno day on Saturday 29th November.

All proceeds go to Great Ormond Street Hospital for sick children, so you justifiably feel good about spending your hard earned cash.

We use a Rototest hub mounted dyno which is prettly much the best available, so you'll receive a power and torque certificate, a dataloging graph.

We should be able to get through 10 cars, so please put your name down if interested.

Thanks

Put me down please, assuming I can make the proposed time. Couldn't make the first one as I wasn't available on the chosen day.

Likewise, I was unable to make toe original day so will be happy to come along. It will be weather dependant though - if snowing/peeing rain then I wouldn't be there as I'd be coming from St Neots in Cambs.

Lewis - they are based near to Lakeside, I'd also recommend a RR just to give peace of mind you do in fact have a healthy car and to pick up any possible issues before they get too bad.

May be interested nearer the time if places still available.
Must remember to fill up with V-Power this time though and see what the difference is!
Also presume the colder air will play a part in boosting power a tad.

What ever happened to the TDI performance/mapping upgrade ‘guinea pig’ idea?

I emailed in as requested and heard nothing back, got bored and took the car up to TrackCarSolutions instead, with some very healthy numbers back as a result thumbup

Keep me in mind too. I haven't heard from Sam as yet.
Is this day just dyno power runs or can it go towards diagnostic for rough running?

A dyno run was on my list of things to do when i first got the car anyways, so this seems like a good opportunity.

And i will be nervous now (i hope im buying a healthy one)

It'll just be for power runs due to time limitations. You can leave the car with us if you want us to diagnose/cure any issues.

Well mine is being repainted and ive my own set of rollers to play with anyhow.

I wouldnt mind coming along to view the other cars and (preferably) see other 400s on the rollers (to compare against what mine has made).

If its a hub mounted type rather than rollers, how long do you expect for setting up between runs?

What time will the proceedings begin?

I'm interested, but still got some work to do on the car 1st.

Can you explain how the hub dyno work.

Also do you have knowledge of mapping emerald systems.

Thanks
Leigh

You can read about it and down load some interesting white papers at http://www.tdi-plc.com/index.php?pge=C_dynocam

We have considerable experience with Emerald.
