Can anyone on here help,my daily hack 1996 passat tdi has a problem with the bonnet catch that it keeps realeasing the bonnet from the first catch with a little pressure applied,lukily the second catch is stoping it going further but does anyone have experience of this is it a case of cable adjustment?Thanks.

Wrong forum section? This is for bodywork... holes within, patching them up, painting the result, making it shiny etc.

Maybe try General Gassing? I'd suggest greasing the latch myself. When they stick they don't work properly. WD40, a bit of manipulation and some white grease should work. Otherwise General Gassing may help...
