I think it needs to be mentioned somewhere that if you are replying to a previous thread there is no need to quote (unless quoting a small amount of a large post).
Perhaps it would be better to mention it where someone might actually read it, like at the top of the smilies.

And to anyone that quotes this whole post...

But I remember when I first joined....I did try to access the FAQ's and there weren't any - and I did bleat about it for a few weeks...as I didn't know what the rules were.

However, common sense prevailed

There are only 2 rules on PistonHeads
