Thanks Bernard,
The previous owner had it 20+ years.
About 10 years ago he started to restore it,chassis off ect
He sanded down the body work and left it for another 10 years.
Now it's my turn.

I may try and start the car before i replace it with a V8

That's a very early M,they started at 2240, I think.

I put a Rover V8 into 2247 TM. It was featured in Sprint a few years ago, & Tony Connor who was then the editor bought it from me when I got my 3000S.

No idea, but both my 2500M & 3000S started life in that fetching Ford metallic brown.

I thought that,also if you look at the rear of the car you will see two holes next to the lights,any ideas?

yes, the reverse lights have been removed
