Help!! need best Route:) Nottingham

Hi All, I start a new job soon and need to plan my route to get there. I've heard the the M1 is terrible around junction 25-27 so I need your wisdom.
Heres the route google proposes for centre of Loughborough to J27 M1.

If it was me, i would come off at kegworth, and going into nottingham from there, as it does get very busy on the m1. although it has to be said, the route in from the m1 is quicker!

The A453 tends to bung up as it comes in to the first built up areas (Clifton?) - not a local, so I don't know any better...

Have a look at Kegworth -kingston on soar -gotham ( no batman jokes pleaes) then into clifton .Route I discovered years ago to avoid A453 , used it recently (albeit not at rush hour) and it seemed pleasantly fast .Hint - the turn from Kegworth to Kingston on soar is right under rail bridge .

em avoid it on friday night all i got 2 say. it took me from coalvill to longeaton 1 hour and 20 minuets the other day but im a man and i dont like 2 stop lol
