Alarm sensitivity

OK, so walked passed the 350 (about an inch or so away) to open the garage door, and the damn alarm goes off - hyper sensitive !

Remember from somewhere that proimity sensor is Microwave and is mounted under center tunnel ?

From fitting alarms in the past, I assume the microwave module will have a sensitivity adjusting screw on it somewhere ?

- I get a h/brake warning light come on sometimes, so when doing the alarm is there an adjustment one can do on the switch to stop this ?

The alarm brain lives down by your passenger's feet. Pull back the carpet and feel around in the puddles and you should find it (or if like mine, feel around on the walls as it could be velcroed there). The box has a twisty sensitivity thingy on.

Is that for microwave sensor though, or for tilt/shock in the main controller.

Ones I have seen before have the adjustment on the actual microwave or ultrasonic unit ?

- May try to get info from Meta; what is part number anyone ?

The microwave sensitivity is not adjusted on the main box (thats ultrasonics which you don't have) but on the microwave module itself. The top cover unclips to make adjusting the pot easy. I am sure it has been posted where the module is so its no mystery. It either lives stuffed under the dash with all the other boxes of tricks or ideally under the tunnel facing the roof.

They are a sod to set becasue the ambient temp will alter how sensitive the unit is on any given day
