Interior Heater Fan & Front Left Dipped Beam

I noticed at the weekend, that both my front left dipped beam and the interior heater fan have stopped working on my 2001 Tuscan. Sidelights and main beam work fine, and the lights around the fan switch work correctly...just no air :-)

Not had chance to investigate the fuses or replace the bulb ( removing the bonnet on my own is more than the normal pain with a fractured hand LOL )

Couldnt see that they shared a fuse so guess it is just a coincidence, and con'fused' as to which fuse they used - so any ideas please on which fuses to change and anything else to look at? I understand the control box for the heater fan is under the dash, so I plan to check the connectors on that too.

Did you every find out what fuse was faulty ?? It's just im having the same problem

Hi Andy,

I found it was the Heater ECU that had burnt out, I replaced that and found it would work for a while and then stop again. Fault was traced to poor earthing and the heater ECU getting very hot. Car re-earthed, and an extra earth on the Heater ECU just to be safe has seemed to solve the problem.

I guess the blown light was down to earthing.

Can you give a few more details of what you did to the car regards improving the earthing and where you earthed the Heater ECU to?

My heater ECU gets a bit too hot as well.
