I thought that when I created the entries, but then I couldn't work out what problems it could cause, especially given the close knit community surrounding the cars, people tend to know which cars are which, and having a register would only aid owners.

But i'm not too sure, am not too worried myself, but can understand others may be.

I've noticed that some people have been filling in their full VIN number under the chassis number section of the wiki- I'm pretty sure that this is a definite no-no. Along with your registration number, the VIN number could be used by anyone to apply for new registration docs in their name.

Can the OP go in and edit the wiki so that it just shows the last 5 digits (ie the chassis no. part)?

Have deleted as necessary, was unaware of how they could be used.

As a note, anyone can update the wiki, not just me as the OP.
