As some of you will be aware , I am setting up this import system for american products.

I had intended to call the service - " The American Connection ". Not very original but I quite liked it. Anyway, someone is already using it so it is no good.

This where I could do with some help. Anyone got any ideas for a good name? I am thinking along the lines of something which will immediately tell people what we are doing, so it could be to do with direct shipping from suppliers, saving money on freight charges or how easy it will be without any nasty suprises.

I guess " Steves cheap, easy importing direct from suppliers freight service " might work but it doesn't roll off the tongue.

So come on guys and gals, give me some help here. My imaginative juices have dried up and I need a good name for this which will say or infer what we do and have a nice ring to it etc.

p.s. Jan, who is bringing in your exhausts and how much did they charge you? - I would like to know for comparason purposes.

Havent got a name, but would be interested know when your setup is up and running, our club has people bringing parts and cars over quite frequently as private imports.

I paid nearly £700 to have a $4K balenger/borla system delivered airmail to my by door by UPS (including all the duties) the boxes were huge though

I like cropping it down to the minimum too so you could call the company "Steve's Cheap", but that probably won't have the personal image you want !

How about "US Ecopart" or "US Easyfreight" ?

Honest Steve's Shipping?
Ship-U-like?
Shrubbery Shipping?
OTP Shipping? (Over The Pond)

Hmmm, nah. I'll have to ponder this over a few beers.

Thanks for all of the ideas guys

I now have a name - " Moving Parts "

Simple and stupid, bit like me.

I like it and have registered the domain name so I guess I am stuck with it now.

As to progress, we have ironed out the customs issues and are in the throes of finalising the US agent part of the operation. Tariffs will be in place next week and we should be ready to go by the end of Oct. The advertising will not start until the December issue of Classic American.

Fingers crossed!!!

Sounds good to me Steve, though I still think putting "Steve's Cheap" on the side of your car would be fun !
