a lil help please

simply im trying to sell my sl500 or 500sl whatever you want to call it. i have been told of traders who buy cars for the book price but do not seem to be able to fun any. iv tried a couple of the obvious online ones but they really arnt any good. any help?

I would be surprised if you get anyone to buy anything at glass's guide book price at the moment. Depending on the age/condition/history etc. I would suggest phoning a few Merc dealers to see if they are in a position to buy it. If not try the indi dealers or last resort ask one of them to SOR it for you.

What have you been quoted to replace the heater matrix? £2500 or so? The whole dash has to come out

haha nowhere near it. i got alota family who are mechanics and would do it for me for couple of hundred including parts.and even if not them people dont charge over 400. iv had it done on a bmw

which begs the question why not get it fixed before selling and adjust your price accordingly if needs be. Same goes for the door handle, probably nothing to sort it and with them done it'll be a much more attractive proposition.

was planning to do it but never really got the chance. now i just recently got it parked and covered in the driveway. need a manual car to help with my soon to be job of being a driving instructor so an auto is not good..(brings too many bad habbits with no clutch.) if i dont get the price im looking for i very happily just wont sell it and do it all at a later date. but right now it would be usefull to be sold.
