The most amazing photographs you have taken yourself....
Discussion
It probably has been done before here time and time again, but how about a thread showing what you consider to be the best photograph you have ever taken. Subject can be anything and everything but can we keep it safe for work....
Here is mine to start things off:

Taken at Les Deux Alpes earlier this year using a trusty Canon Powershot G7, we were trying to get down off the top of the mountain as it was blowing a gale and about -18, I turned round to see one of my friends waiting for the others with the snow whipping off the top of the hill. What you cant also really see is that a thin layer of snow was being blown along the floor as well which meant it was like snowboarding on a river of moving snow (thats why its hard to make out the skis on the skier). Very cool/weird!

Cool shots people!
This has to be my favourite. I had really taken to macro when first getting into photography in February 2007. Having been through the whole macro process from +4 filter on the kit lens, reversing ring, 100mm macro, extension tubes, I finally ended up biting the bullet and buying the the MP-E65mm
It's only a fly, but I like it a lot

Shot hand-held with the Canon 40D, Canon MP-E65mm (at around 3:1), and the MT-24EX twin flash.

Great topic. Seeing as we started with a ski photo I'll include my own. I noticed the clouds were looking particularly interesting when I was skiing along and stopped in a reasonable location for a shot. It was taken on my G9. I just wish I noticed I'd slightly over exposed a bit of the sky on the left. Oh well!

. Presume I don’t need to tell you were it was taken - Liverpool water front.
