I had to leave sunny Bournemouth to visit, Manchester and we had to venture into Alderley Edge. I have never seen so many Bentley's Range Rover Sport's, Porsche Cayenne's and BMW X5's. the credit crunch clearly hasn't entered Cheshire

The vast majority will be on finance though. Alderley is full of pretentious poseurs and the retired along with a smattering of really wealthy people. Its only saving grace is Fosters chip shop. Although its probably been re-developed into another bloody wine bar by now.

Yep. Alderley is just down the road from me. There and Prestbury are very wealthy areas and do have a number of premiership players in them. Rooney has just had a place built in Prestbury.

I know roughly where his house is but haven't seen it yet. There are quite a few houses in Prestbury that have been knocked down and rebuilt into something that wouldn't look out of place in the Hamptons! They're going for around £4-5m!

No I am afraid not. There is a Yellow GTC that lives in the area though. I shall have to pay the chippy a vist the next time I am in the area. One of the best chippies I have ever been to.
