If anyone needs a new rear box, I have a brand new (unused one). It came off a 4.5 at delivery new as I'd opted for the sports exhaust. Stored indoors always, so as new. I know it's the same box as the 4.2, not sure if the speed six uses the same one though.

if anybody else has one, I'm after a back box. The current system is just too loud!

I have a "sports" exhaust. I'm not sure if it's a "genuine" ACT or not, but it certainly looks the same. It's certainly damn loud.

I don't mind it much, but the wife refuses to go anywhere far in the car as "it gives her a headache" biggrin

Can I suggest whoever gets this box, to get it welded BEFORE they start using it.

I'm doing a roaring trade with people who's tail pipes fall off.

Get a wedge or sleeve welded while you have nice new metal. Probably outlast the car then smile

I paid £235 for a brand new standard 4.5 backbox/tailpipe assembly just 3 months ago. I think this is quite reasonable even though I know the insides will start rattling or welds crack or both just like my previous standard one did. It lasted 5 years mind.

Regards
Simon

Thought you'd already got a buyer Mike? Do I presume that's fallen through?

Next year i will run a side exit exhaust system to take the heat away from the transmision tunnel.

So this becomes surplus to requirements! Great exhaust system, shame i cant modify it.
